Makyo
Born in Beijing, China in 1940 to a Chinese father and a Japanese mother.
Returned to Japan in 1979.
Established the Makyo Ink Wash Painting Association with the hope of becoming a bridge for Sino-Japanese cultural exchange. Dedicated to teaching and promoting ink wash painting, and organized events such as the Makyo Art Grand Prize Exhibition.
Held solo exhibitions in various countries including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, India, Austria, Spain, and Mexico. Also exhibited in numerous international exhibitions.
Received numerous awards, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs Award (Japan), the All Japan Selected Modern Ink Wash Painting Grand Prize, the Special Envoy of the People's Republic of China to Japan Award, and the Honorary Certificate of Top-Class Painter Certified by the Mexican Government.
Authored many books, including Makyo Ink Wash Painting Collection, New Frontiers of Ink and Color, Poetry of Nature - Makyo Ink Wash Painting Collection, and Ink Wash Painting Introductory Course, as well as writing for magazines.
