This is a red oak bokken with a wooden scabbard.
The bokken has been thinned to fit into the scabbard, but it still weighs 540g when drawn.
This is a sufficient weight for use as a bokken.

While plastic scabbards for bokken are common, this product's scabbard is also made with great care.
The scabbard is hand-carved, with copper bands around the koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) and koshiri (end of the scabbard), and a carefully crafted kurigata (knob).
We have never seen a bokken with such a lovingly crafted scabbard before.
Scabbards are usually made of plastic, which does not look very appealing.
In particular, when used for demonstrations, it looks much better than a flimsy plastic scabbard.
