It has been used a few times for performances, such as in hip-hop.
As for custom modifications, the higher-pitched bongo has been processed with a coated ambassador head, making it less susceptible to humidity and producing very dry high tones. The lower-pitched bongo produces low tones similar to those of bongos or congas.
This is a bongo set for drum kits.
You can incorporate it into your drum set like Chris Dave or the old Dave Weckl.
