Description
This is a Shigaraki ware tanuki (raccoon dog) figurine.
Purchased in Shigaraki, Shiga Prefecture.
This tanuki uses an old mold that is no longer in production.
I purchased it for store display, but it is no longer needed, so I am listing it for sale.

There is a vertical line of silicone (black) residue on the left side when viewed from the front.

Silicone was added as a reinforcement for the mold joint line during pottery production, just in case.
This is not to repair a crack, so there is no issue with its strength.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about its appearance.
