Black lacquer, Shin-nuri (true lacquer) finish.
Two sides feature Shippo (seven treasures) openwork with red accents.
Stored new and unused for a long time, but there are no noticeable scratches.

Personally, I don't think it's particularly noticeable.
Can be used not only as a tea ceremony sweet serving dish but also as a small bento box or for kaiseki dining.
