■ A 3-motor, 3-head stereo tape deck featuring a direct capstan drive motor with servo circuit and GX heads. It pursues higher performance by adopting a newly designed direct capstan drive motor with a servo (control) circuit for capstan drive. This is achieved by integrating a control winding and a speed detection pulse generator into an eddy current outer rotor motor, purely electrically detecting and amplifying the motor speed, and correcting rotational speed variations with a servo circuit. This allows for a constant rotational speed to be maintained, resulting in extremely stable tape travel. Furthermore, by simplifying the mechanism with fewer belts, idlers, and flywheels, wow and flutter are suppressed. Two eddy current outer rotor motors are used for driving both the supply and take-up reels. GX (Glass & X'Tal Ferrite) heads are employed.
