Hichiriki Reed Tongue "Kiwami" ①
Thank you for viewing. I am a Sho player with over 50 years of experience in Gagaku (ancient Japanese court music) and Sho.
This reed is made from high-quality reeds harvested in Udono, with an outer diameter of 11.5-12mm. These reeds were carefully selected and air-dried for approximately 1.5 years. They were then thoroughly smoked over a traditional Japanese hearth for over 10 years. This process results in a reed that is second to none, combining both durability and superior sound quality. The cap, cement, and Japanese paper used are also of the highest quality.
While reed thickness preferences vary, this reed is designed to be compatible with all Sho instruments, whether they have a plastic or traditional body. It is often said that for the Sho, tone quality is more important than volume, and to achieve a beautiful tone, it is essential to blow with full breath. While the price may be slightly higher, please rest assured that we offer returns and exchanges for any reason.
(*Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping costs for returns and exchanges.)
Regarding my reeds, I believe you will gain a better understanding by looking at past customer reviews.
I am confident that you will be satisfied with this reed, and I appreciate your consideration.
