This is a handmade striking stick (shumoku) made for the kane drum of the danjiri festival.

It has a substantial feel due to the thick bamboo handle and the use of high-quality Japanese sika deer antler.

The gap between the Ezo deer antler and the handle is secured with adhesive, and brass brads are used for fixation.

We used a medium-cut deer antler, preferred in the Senshu style of danjiri pulling, and finished the handle slightly shorter.

Handle: Approximately 24.5 cm

Antler: Approximately 10 cm (a little over 3 sun)

While I am confident in the quality of this striking stick, please understand that as it is a handmade item, I cannot guarantee its durability. (Please rest assured, it has been tested.)
