This is a shakuhachi bag.

I do not own a shakuhachi, so I cannot answer questions about whether it will fit or not.

This is Type B.
A piece has been created that can fit shakuhachi up to approximately 58 cm in length, assuming a diameter of approximately 5 cm.
A tie string has been attached a few centimeters from the opening. The length can be adjusted to some extent by changing the folding position.

The upper and lower fabric gussets will be determined by the diameter of the shakuhachi.
Even if the overall length of the item is long, if it has a thick diameter (other than flat items), gussets will be created at the top and bottom, making it difficult for many items to fit.
As an image of the thickness, I have included a photo of an unopened mini juice can with a diameter of approximately 5.2 cm.

Depending on the person, if you untie the string or pull out the top fold, I would recommend Type A, but for now, only Type B will be listed.

The item will be shipped folded, so I cannot be held responsible for any injuries. It may be helpful to lightly iron out the creases.
