STHS-9102L
A surf finesse model designed to handle fish that are difficult to catch due to environmental changes such as rough weather and sudden drops in water temperature, or in highly pressured fields where fish are wary of anglers' concentration. This model enables worming with jig heads as light as 5-14g on the surf. To cast light lures over long distances, the rod must bend effectively during casting and convert its light weight into repulsive force. A rod that is too stiff or too soft will negatively impact casting distance. We used a material with moderate elasticity and repulsive force that allows for long-distance casting by converting its light weight into repulsive force. This material not only enhances casting distance but also helps prevent missed bites. While a solid tip might seem delicate and good for bite detection, it's effective for sucking bites. However, for flatfish that tend to bite lures, a solid tip is a disadvantage. A flexible tubular tip was necessary to keep the lure in the flatfish's mouth while achieving a hookset around the hard jawbone. The belly acts as a damper to protect thin PE lines, absorbing shock while continuously applying subtle pressure to the target. The butt section, of course, has enough power to handle even large flatfish. The tubular tip excels not only in worming but also in operating metal vibes and metal jigs up to 20g, making it a model that perfectly masters finesse surf fishing for flatfish feeding on small bait, and micro-jigging for bluefish that prey on shirasu.
