Warai-take (smiling bamboo) for tabletop mini Kadomatsu (New Year's pine decorations) has been cut from fine garden bamboo (Hachiku).
This is a set of 3 pieces, approximately 5cm each.

It's a mini-mini size, so it's compact and easy to store.

Before shipping, the cut edges are sanded with multiple files to make them soft to the touch (see image 4).

[About the price]
Production takes several days as it is all handmade and requires time and physical strength.
Cutting the bamboo and making the diagonal cuts are all done by hand, one by one.
Afterward, multiple pairs of scissors are used to cut away any splintered parts, and multiple files are used for finishing.
It is particularly physically demanding, so we cannot cut many pieces in a single day.
We handle each piece while monitoring the weather, managing daily chores, and packing and shipping orders for other customers.
The pricing reflects the effort and time involved, so we appreciate your understanding.
