This is a dish stand, but I use it as a yarn holder at my own risk.
It's a bit clumsy and wobbly, but you can use standard mini cones by flipping them upside down.
It becomes more stable if you create a paper core inside with thick paper or similar material.
It's convenient for storing yarn as is, or when using multiple strands together.
