【Made in Tsubame-Sanjo】Pure Copper Fondue Set Kaba-Lux CR-500 Kane-Shiba

A fondue set from the King Copper series, the highest grade pure copper brand by Kanashiba Co., Ltd., a long-established manufacturer in Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture.

The model name is Kaba Lux (CR-500). This is a rare, hard-to-find deadstock item (long-term storage).

Copper boasts a thermal conductivity approximately 5 times that of iron. It is the best material for fondue as it allows you to maintain a smooth, melted state without scorching the cheese.

The included authentic alcohol burner allows you to freely control high heat, low heat, and extinguishing with a slide lid.

This exquisite piece, with its robust construction by Tsubame-Sanjo metal craftsmen, is also gaining attention as authentic gear for camping and outdoor activities.

How to use (researched on Google):
1. Soak the mesh part of the burner with denatured alcohol (commercially available).
2. Light the mesh directly with a lighter or similar.
3. Adjust the heat by sliding the lid to maintain your desired temperature for cheese or oil.
*It is a hybrid specification that can also be used by placing solid fuel (commercially available) on the stand.

Looking at the mesh part, it appears it has never been used with fire.
As shown in the photos, there are clear damages such as peeling, fading, and scratches on the surface.
