Sent from the satoyama of Iga ninja village, rich in nature.

These are natural kumquat leaves.

We will pack approximately 15 branches, cut to about 20-25 cm, with young leaves attached.

There are over 100 leaves in total.

Small green fruits have started to appear, so branches with leaves and small green fruits will be mixed in.

Like the sansho, pine, and yuzuriha leaves that have been popular, these have grown vigorously with the natural water and mountain spring water of Iga.

After delivery, they will last longer if stored with the cut ends submerged in water.

After a light rinse, they will be moisturized with damp paper and aluminum foil, then packed in a ziplock bag and shipped in a box.

Similar to sansho leaves, many swallowtail butterflies are attracted to kumquat leaves.

As these are from natural kumquat trees in the mountain behind my grandmother's house, the leaf sizes will vary.

Since they are grown without pesticides, fertilizer, or disinfection, there may be insect-eaten holes in the leaves.

Although listed under the category of food for swallowtail butterflies, they can also be used as materials for swags, wreaths, garlands, etc.

Kumquat, which brings good fortune, harmony, and is auspicious.
They are also useful as is for ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) or as materials for handmade crafts.

Many people also dry the leaves to make kumquat leaf tea.

They can be used for various purposes such as cuttings, interior decoration, wreath and shimenawa (New Year's rope decoration) adornments, food for swallowtail butterfly larvae, and ikebana.
