Used, fully hand-forged double-edged deba knife. Blade length: 158mm. Wooden handle: approx. 145mm.
These knives from Yoshimitsu, a long-established blacksmith in Shimabara, Nagasaki, are hand-forged using the Tatara steel-making technique, a tradition dating back to 1852. They are highly praised for their sharp cutting edge and durability.
The double-edged Deba knife, with its symmetrical blade, offers excellent straight-line cutting. Its ability to cut straight through hard bones makes it very user-friendly.
The wooden handle is designed so that the blade passes completely through it and is secured at the end, ensuring it will never detach.
