Some items have been cut, sanded, and smoothed. This process enhances texture, improves appearance, and removes wood dust, powder, and protrusions, offering many benefits. We strive to remove as many negative aspects of driftwood as possible.

Leaching (minimum 1 month / with water changes)
Why is leaching essential? For example, some types of driftwood, after leaching, are found to be about 40% below the quality required for listing and are discarded. The remaining 60% turn out to be excellent. Since the true quality is only revealed after leaching, we state that it is a mandatory step.

Sorting and washing of driftwood that has sunk during leaching

Reason: To prevent sunburn marks from reappearing after leaching.
