These are seedlings that have sprouted in a vinyl greenhouse.

The photos are from a previous shipment.
The size will be approximately as shown, but please understand that the size may vary slightly depending on stock availability.
The seedlings will be shipped bare-root (soil will be removed) with roots wrapped in paper towels or similar material for protection.

We will ship via Click Post with free shipping.
As the package must be within 3cm in thickness, it will be packed with some compression.

The tips of the vines may break or wilt during transport, but if the roots are healthy, new shoots will definitely grow, so please plant them without worry.
(We may trim the tips ourselves if it interferes with packing.)

About Okawakame:
Okawakame is a perennial vine native to tropical regions.
Its official Japanese name is Akazakazura, also known as Unnan Hyakuyaku or Okawakame.
As the name Hyakuyaku (meaning hundred medicines) suggests, it is a highly nutritious vegetable.
To eat it, briefly blanch it in boiling water for about 10-20 seconds and serve as a dressed salad.
It is said to have a texture and taste similar to wakame seaweed, but personally, I feel it is more similar to malabar spinach.
It is easier to eat than malabar spinach.

It is also quite nutritious:
Calcium: 6 times that of bell peppers
Zinc: 2.5 times that of chives
Magnesium: 8 times that of lettuce
Copper: 8 times that of cabbage
