Length is approximately 15cm.
The pods are a vibrant red, but when cut, the inside is a pale yellow-green.

Red okra is easy to grow and yields a large harvest compared to other vegetables, making it recommended for first-time growers.

Even though it's red okra, the cultivation method is the same as regular green okra. Depending on the region, seeds are typically sown in April-May and harvested in September-October.

★How to Eat

Besides salads, vinegared dishes, and dressed dishes, it can also be used in pasta and soups. However, red okra loses its color when boiled, so if you want to enjoy its red color, raw consumption is recommended. Cut off the stem, rub with salt to remove fuzz, and then chop and eat.
If you find the texture bothersome when raw, lightly heating it in the microwave will soften it. You can also briefly blanch it in hot water, but some color loss is unavoidable.
