【Half-Musou Sleeve】 How to Make Replacement Sleeves ◆ Super Illustrated Original Text ◆ For Usotsuki Juban (Under Kimono) ♪

This is an original text with many diagrams and photos for each step, making it easy for beginners to understand. I created it to share all the knowledge I have, from the basics of Japanese sewing to the finished product.

The instructions are primarily for hand-sewing, but once you get the hang of it, it's surprisingly easy! You can also apply your skills by using a sewing machine for certain parts depending on the material, which will make creating replacement sleeves even more enjoyable.

◇ What is a semi-double sleeve?
The cuffs and sleeve openings that are visible from the outside have the shape of a double sleeve (lined sleeve). However, the middle part, which is not visible, is made as a single layer. This is a popular type of replacement sleeve that is lightweight and saves fabric. It is a uso-tsuki (deceptive) sleeve with a double-sleeve appearance. You can wear it with lined kimonos.
