This is a sukiyabukuro (tea ceremony bag) remade from a **recycled** **genuine silk fukuro obi** (a type of formal kimono sash).

This sukiyabukuro was remade from a fukuro obi with a retro color scheme featuring a noshi (gift ribbon) pattern with flowers and plants woven into it.
It has turned out to be a cute, retro-style sukiyabukuro with a charming chrysanthemum design.
(The obi itself is not an antique.)

The surface of the obi fabric has a smooth texture. I think the way gold threads are woven in places, like flowing sand, is lovely. (Though it's difficult to capture well in photos.)
