This aloha shirt is made from a Chikusen cotton crinkle yukata fabric, close to antique. It's crafted from a fabric that I personally found absolutely cool.
The collar can be worn closed or open. This older type of Chikusen cotton crinkle fabric is rarely seen anymore. It's a precious piece.

Old fabrics and yukatas may have uneven dyeing, foxing, or weaving imperfections. These are considered the unique characteristics of each piece, dyed using traditional handmade techniques. The yukata fabric is selected for its excellent quality, achieved through traditional hon-zome dyeing.
Please appreciate the beauty of the dye, which is different from modern fabrics.

As this is made from deadstock old fabric or deconstructed yukatas, there may be traces of the seams on the shirt.

Washing Instructions:
Gently hand wash with a mild detergent that does not contain bleach.
Spin dry for about 15 seconds. Hang to dry in the shade. Due to the unique nature of the fabric, colors may bleed significantly. Wash separately from lighter colored items, or wash alone to check for color bleeding before washing with other items.
Items dyed and made by hand possess a beauty that is rare in this era, and likely no two are exactly alike. We await purchases from those who appreciate its value.
