((Precautions when replacing batteries))
The top surface (where the model number is engraved) is positive (+), and the bottom surface (back) is negative (-).
Electricity flows when the positive and negative terminals are connected (even when held by hand).
If you grip the top and bottom of the battery with metal tweezers, it will cause a short circuit, completely discharging the battery (especially silver oxide batteries like the SR series, which can be depleted in under 30 seconds, or even 10 seconds for smaller capacity batteries).

★The worst thing you can do is to grip the battery from top to bottom. For silver oxide batteries (SR series), grip the sides.

There are also plastic tweezers that do not conduct electricity, or non-magnetic tweezers, but as a general rule, always grip button batteries by their sides.
