Kimono Dressing - Body Shape Correction Sarashi (Linen Bandage)

This is worn to correct the wearer's bone structure and body shape when wearing a kimono.
Cotton is inserted in the chest area. If more cotton is needed, please adjust with cosmetic cotton pads or gauze. (Some people add unused bandages.)

My kimono journey began on the first day of my dressing class by making this undergarment.
It is cheaper than commercially available ones and adjustable, so everyone is happy with it.

I wear this undergarment over an Airism inner with a deep neckline. (The sharpest angle of the neckline faces forward.)
First, I press down the chest area with a short obi-like bleached cotton cloth.
Next, I wrap a longer bleached cotton cloth around myself and tuck in the end. Some wrap it to press their bust, while others wrap it around their torso.
(It's a bit difficult to explain, but it's shown in the photos from the 6th image onwards.) Some people wrap a face towel together with the cloth around their torso.
Then, I wear an undergarment over the correction undergarment to keep it from shifting.
A friend of mine wears her undergarment first, then this correction undergarment.
She says it's because she washes her undergarment each time.

Occasionally, I remove the cotton and wash the undergarment.
The cotton also loses its thickness, so I replace it with new cotton after washing.
