Futamura's Ice Axe refers to the only domestically produced forged wood shaft ice axe made by Zenichi Futamura, a blacksmith from Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture.
It holds a significant place in the history of Japanese ice axes, recognized as the third lineage following Kadota (Sapporo) and Yamauchi (Sendai).

This extremely rare ice axe bears the Futamura mark, etched into the history of Japanese mountaineering equipment.
Forged in the land of Mikawa, this particular piece is numbered 67. With an extremely limited number of surviving examples, its appearance on the market is a rare event, making it a true collector's item.
