This is a Bb tenor trombone from the workshop of Horst Voigt in the former East Germany.
This instrument was used by Alexander Wunder, principal trombonist of the Halle State Opera Orchestra.

The Halle State Opera Orchestra is classified as a so-called A orchestra, rated TVK-A. The (HTV) after A indicates it is an orchestra larger in scale than an A orchestra.

Although the bell is small, the metal is very thin, producing a solemn yet brilliant and bright tone, characteristic of the trombone section of former East German orchestras. The slide does not have inner chrome plating, but it can be used smoothly with YAMAHA slide oil. Although it is an old instrument, it has been used by a professional musician, and the overall condition, including the case, is very good.
