This is a Yamaha Tenor Trombone YSL-252.
The YAMAHA YSL-252 is an **entry-level (beginner) tenor trombone** designed for those starting out with the trombone or for students in school brass bands.

Although it is now a discontinued model, it is still a popular instrument frequently seen in the used market. Here are its main features:

1. Beginner-Friendly Design
・Lightweight Thin Bore: The bore is made thinner, making it easier to produce sound with less air. This is its biggest feature, making it easy to handle for elementary and junior high school students with less physical strength or beginners.
・Simple Construction: It is the simplest form of tenor trombone without an F attachment (trigger lever). The instrument itself is lightweight and designed to reduce fatigue during long practice sessions.

2. Material and Tone Characteristics
・Yellow Brass: Produces a bright, resonant, and brilliant trombone-like tone.
・Lacquer Finish: The exterior is coated with gold lacquer, providing a sharp and powerful sound. It is also relatively easy to maintain.

3. High Durability and Precision
・Smooth Slide: As expected from Yamaha products, the slide precision is high, allowing for smooth movement.

Sound Check: Confirmed that all ranges produce sound without any issues.
Slide: Moves smoothly (subjectively, but does not interfere with playing).

Exterior: There are minor scuffs, small dents, and discoloration of the lacquer due to use, but no major damage. It is in relatively clean condition for its age. (Please check the photos for details.)

◆Accessories
Comes with a hard case for an XO trombone. This case is unused, but has become sticky during storage and has some peeling on the exterior. The interior is like new.
