Kassai Shibori
This is a cotton yukata bolt fabric with very fine shibori (tie-dyeing) all over, inherited from my grandmother.
I believe it was originally a bolt for men's wear.
Approximately 35cm wide.
When I asked a professional tailor, they said that the width could be increased by about 2cm, but the texture of the shibori would become less pronounced.
I think it would make a lovely adult shibori yukata if you pre-shrunk it with hot water and set the color before tailoring.
It would also look great with a collar and an obi.
I have opened it up as much as possible to inspect it, and I don't feel any particular stains or flaws.
Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive.
If you wish, I can remove the threads and check the inside.
