This is a sponge-type polishing pad, similar to an Abralon pad.

Why use a polishing pad?
They are used for various purposes, but here are some typical examples:

◎ When the ball doesn't roll well
◎ When the desired curve doesn't match
◎ When you want to change the ball's curve

In terms of usability, the sponge itself is slightly firmer compared to Abralon.
When polishing the curved surface of the ball, you can work smoothly by applying a little more pressure.

It's best to keep the cost of consumables as low as possible.
